About
The Pacolet Preservation Society is the only organization of its kind in the Pacolet area. We achieved 501c3 status in March of 2024, but have been serving the Town of Pacolet as a civic group for several years. We consist of five board members and dozens of volunteers spread over three upstate South Carolina counties.
Mission
The Pacolet Preservation Society is dedicated to protecting and restoring the historical landmarks, traditions, and stories that define our town. Through preservation efforts, community engagement, and educational initiatives, we strive to strengthen our shared identity, instill pride in our heritage, and ensure that the legacy of Pacolet endures for future generations.

To honor and preserve the rich heritage of Pacolet, safeguarding its history, culture, and historic sites while fostering a strong, connected community that thrives for generations to come.
